Reindeer Food/Mom

For the past couple of years I've made bags of Reindeer food
(choc covered mix with m&ms) for Mom to give out.
As it gets close to Christmas the nurses start asking
when I'm making this treat...
This year I put the individual bags in a large bag and
Natalie & Jayden pushed
mom around as she handed it out.
My mother has always been such a giving person. She just loves doing this.
Jayden told everyone "Merry Christmas" what a fun experience for all of us! I am so proud of Natalie , she never minds coming to visit my mother. Its not always a pleasant environment. On days when I don't feel like going she always is willing and encouages me..
Natalie shows mom unconditional love. She is friendly with all the people at Avante assisted living facility. Jayden looks a little apprehensive here, but really he was out going and very friendly with everyone. His only concerned was for the man that didn't have a leg anymore.

Mickeys Very Merry Christmas!

We love going to Disney for Christmas.
Natalie always takes Brianna with her.
They walk in with us and we don't see them again until the parade starts.
This year Alex just want to hang out with Rick! The fireworks were beautiful!
Jayden just didn't make it!

Geoffrey was in such a great mood , I caught him singing a few times.
Just enjoying the Christmas spirit! (or just excited about going snow skiing in the morning)
Natalie getting some snow off Brianna's head!
Missy , Jonathon, Payton, Britton , Katelyn, Micahel ,Macie,Merrik, Mickey, Christy, Madison, Cameron ,and Missy's aunt were all at Disney too!! Fun night!

Cheerleading Try-outs

Natalie wanted to try out for cheer leading at Mt Dora Middle School.
They had practice for 5 days and on the last day held try -outs.
72 girls in the 6th -8th grade tried out! She made it! Way to go Natalie!! Good Job!
Rhea helped Natalie make shirts for her group they were very well done!!
Thanks Rhea!

Happy Birthday Macie-Kate

Macie had her birthday party at Chuck E Cheese this year !
She had a great time with her friends and cousins!
The best part NO mess at home! Katelyn loved it!
A glance at the future .
Britton and Alex riding around together!

Payton , Britton ,Jayden and Alex all came to celebrate.
I have to say as a grandma this place makes me a little nervous.
They all go different directions and are everywhere!
Missy keeping up with her little guy.
He is so fun.

Of course Jayden loved riding the horse!

The pretty pink birthday girl!
Happy Birthday my sweet Macie-Kate!

Pictures

Missy had a photographer come to Red-Tail to take pictures of the individual families.

Andera came out early in the morning and started. Rhea set it up for the families to get together at the end of the day and have some group shots to give to Rick and I for Christmas. What a great gift. Even though the kids were over the whole picture thing, I think we got some great shots. Thank you Missy and Rhea this really was a great gift.

Next time I think we will have to do just one family a day!
7 children 4 and under ....
Jonathon , Missy , Payton 4 years old and Britton Craig wonderful 2!

This picture says it all Macie-Kate loves her baby brother Merrik!

Geoffrey, Rhea ,Jayden 3 years old, Alex almost 2, and Baby landon 5 weeks!

Light up Mt Dora

We thought it would be so much fun to take the kids to light up Mt Dora.

Natalie, Anna, Katelyn ,Macie, Merrik, Rhea, Jayden ,Alex and baby Landon all walked from the office to downtown(only about 3 blocks) to see light up Mt Dora. Good idea only EVERYBODY in lake county must have had the same idea! The very best part of the night was Jayden telling everyone that walked passed us
"Merry Christmas" after about 30 minutes he walked over to Rhea and said
"Mom its your turn now! So cute!

Baby Landon just hanging out! Nothing seems to bother him.

Macie -Kate was not in such a great mood (surprise) but liked me holding her!
Next year we are going to "The night after light up Mt Dora"
Just has to be less people
I didn't even get a picture of the beautiful lights!

Surgery

Natalie had surgery on her nose at Arnold Palmer's Children's Hospital.
She had blockage on both sides of her nose.
The doctor was surprise just how much blockage there was. He said he wouldn't be surprised if she stops breathing several times during the night.
He said after the swelling goes down she should breath much much better!
She is such a trooper, didn't like this IV at all. Then the nurse said she was going to give her some happy juice and within two minutes this is all she could do. She made me laugh too!
The surgery took about 40 min. Rick was there with a cute bear.
I thought maybe she was too old for a teddy but... he knew best!

Very quiet and little swelling we were on our way home. Happy all went well and this is behind us. She asked the doctor when she could play tennis . He said 4 days. Not bad at all!

Thanksgiving 2010

Things that I'm thankful for this year would include... A daughter and daughter-in -laws that value motherhood. Little eyes squeezed extra tight during prayers. Small argument's among the grandchildren about who gets to say the prayer! Sons that let me believe they still need me and always make me feel loved. A brand new baby and the wonder of birth. A daughter that still looks for the wishbone in the Turkey.
My Sweet husband that makes preparing Thanksgiving Dinner much easier and still wants to hold my hand in a movie.
This is a time of year I pause and count every single blessing in my life. Natalie taking a break to watch the Macy's Parade. I told Rick we should really try to go next year! I've wanted to take Natalie to NY for a long time now. Just about ready!
Thankful for Rick's sweet Mom & Dad
So Sweet!
If they eat good they can go on the golf cart with Pa Pa!

Rhea took some time to rock her baby Landon!

Missy took a turn with baby Landon too!
This is what you do after a big Thanksgiving Day Dinner in Florida!

Beautiful

I just can't believe all the blooms this plant has... simply beautiful!

Uncle Craig

Since Dad was here visiting we thought we would go to Jacksonville and go sailing with Craig.

The only day we could go was Saturday and it was Cooold!!!
Natalie decided to go under and have a Pepsi .
I never like her to have soda but..
I let her make the choice and of course she choose Pepsi over water!
Craig let Dad have a go at steering the boat!
What a good job he did! We had a great time.
Only a little fall when Dad missed a step. Nurse Linda took care of the boo boo!

We all love to Sail. Natalie thinks its very cool to take the dogs!
