Natalie and I were at the Stake Center for a Super Saturday (Youth Event) The Bishop came in the class I was in and asked to speak to me.... He told me he had received a phone call that our house was on fire. Never had I even considered that happening to us. Not sure why ..but maybe because It was a newer home. I can't even put into words the thoughts that ran through my head as I stood and watched as the many firefighters tried to put the fire out. My sweet son Jonathon was right there when I got home with tears in his eyes and a hug for his mom. Rick and Geoffrey were out of town at a sales convention in Las Vegas. Imagine how hard it was for me to make that call..... Jonathon and Missy ,Rhea , Katelyn all were there next to me the whole time. Payton and Macie gave me the biggest hugs and told me how much they loved me. The boys ... lots of questions and excited to see the fire trucks. From the minute I got to the fire I knew everything would be okay. Not easy ... but okay ... and it really has been. I was thankful for the peace I felt. We have so many wonderful friends that have been very supportive and helpful. We were able to go to the lake house and that in itself was a blessing. We recognized many many blessings throughout this challenge. Some friends we haven't seen in a long time came and helped ... some relationships healed and the unconditional love and support from family. We have decided to rebuild the house with a few changes.
In the meantime we are enjoying the lake.
